Great news from our academic partner the University of Strathclyde.  A group of engineering students taught by CIG director won the Grand Final of Engineers without Borders Engineering for People Design Challenge against groups from 25 universities.   The team’s winning design is a water treatment system for the Lobitos medical centre in Lobitos, Peru. It consists of biosand filters and wind turbine and benefits the entire community. They were commended for integrating the social aspects in the design.
