What an amazing group of participants at our Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Social Sustainability course taking place in Maputo, Mozambique. We are honored to learn from these talented, energetic and dedicated students and professionals.
The course is offered by the University of Groningen in conjunction with the World Bank, Community Insights Group, Intersocial Consulting, and is hosted in Mozambique by the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM) with support from EnergyWorks.
This Summer/Winter school is offered on a regular biannual basis at the University of Groningen as well as a bespoke course with content, duration and location tailored to a client’s need. The course develops skills in managing the social risks and impacts associated with the development of public and private investment projects (e.g. mines, dams, highways, industry parks, electricity transmission corridors, agricultural developments), and particularly issues related to land acquisition and resettlement.
The next winter school will take place at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands on 6-17 November. Please visit the University website for more information.
